At the zoo!

At the end of a long hot day at the zoo!
A fun place to play in the water and cool off! Eleanor was playing in the water but she kept eating handfulls of rocks, so she had to come back with us.
I love this face. That little place at the bottom of the cheek, where it connects to the neck, kind of by-passing the chin... oh that is perfection.
I love love love love this picture.

My tongue is the same color as the "Fla-lingos!"I love daddy Rex.

On the Komodo dragon!
Can you see the tiny baby monkey hanging on underneath the mommy? It had just been born a week ago, and it just hung there nursing. It was so sweet! There was another baby about 3 months old going crazy and jumping around on everyone and swinging and being super cute. It reminded me of having Mia and Eleanor!

Snapped immediately after Eleanor pulled Elliot's hair... you really have to watch your head, if it gets anywhere near her little fingers it gets pulled! That little tiny sucker fish looked like it was kissing right at the baby! She was trying to grab it!
Loving the aquarium

This is Mia's favorite animal, the Okapi, although this time she decided that she didn't like its stripes. This is her being sad that it has stripies on its bottom. There is a little video of her explaninng this disapointment...

Brushing a goat in the petting zoo! (well, brushing its tail!)it was really hot...

One hot, tired, little girl who didn't like the Okapi's stripes!

Oh, poor Mia!! But, it looks like overall you had a great day. Love the aquarium pictures. Makes me think of when we took the kiddos to Moody Gardens last summer and how much they loved it and were just facinated with all the fish swimming around. The heat is so frustrating... I feel like we haven't done ANYTHING this summer unless it involved water! Very brave of you to venture out in the heat!
